It was a long and arduous trip back to Kurast. With the Elasm destroyed, there was nothing keeping the other creatures of the night away and both Theos and Roderick had their hands full dealing with near constant raids by creatures of both the undead and demonic varieties. They fought without rest, and after finally making it back to the city, even the usually quirky Roderick had a straight face, fatigue from constant summoning taking its toll, while Theos dripped with a mixture of sweat and blood not his own blood, of course.

According to Roderick, The pendant he had obtained apparently belonged to an ancient mage from ages past, way back during the time when the three prime evils had first begun to obtain power. The mage, attempting to take out Baal, the Lord of Destruction, had ultimately failed in his task, and had nearly lost his life in the attempt. Once again, Theos found himself asking the same question, trying yet again to get a straight answer from his frustration necromantic companion.

After their initial confrontation and proceeding battle, Theos had agreed to go with the necromancer on his quest, though he was still waiting to find out the main goal that this bizarre necromantic was heading towards. Whatever it was,
